Sweeney was famous for her role as Samantha Sami Brady (as she was famous on The NBC soap Days of Our Lives) which she performed under contract. Sweeney eventually decided she had had enough of popular fads such as grapefruit diets and cabbage soup in 1999. She shunned trendy foods like drinking grapefruit or cabbage soup, and changed her lifestyle to be healthier, such as cutting out sugary sodas and started going to fitness classes that resembled boot camps.
